The course is written by Tim Keller and Redeemer NYC and will be led by Taylor Shepherd. A study guide is provided to participants. Just Get Me to the Church On Time!

Are you a people person with great organizational skills, the ability to be sensitive in stressful situations, and a desire to minister to others? If so, CPC is looking for individuals who would be interested in coordinating weddings held at the church. This would be a position likely shared by several individuals who will work with pastors, staff, and wedding participants to ensure that each wedding at CPC is a worshipful and orderly process. To discuss this opportunity, or to suggest qualified individuals please contact Catherine Tangren.

Redeemer Owasso

Welcomes you to be a part of the Owasso satellite church plant monthly worship services on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 6 pm at Freedom Church (9602 N. 177th E. Ave., Owasso). A time of fellowship and Bible study will be held on the 4th Sunday of each month from 5 to 7 pm at the home of Jason & Brenda Sheffield. They will be going through the Tim Keller study of Paul’s Letter to the Galatians. If you plan to attend the Galatians study, please RSVP to Brenda Sheffield.

Karl Johnson will be playing piano for the following:

MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG -- March 4-6, 7pm; March 7, 2pm (matinee) @ Cascia Hall Preparatory School Follows the story of a group of friends who were brought together by their love of the theatre; in fact, one of them is a composer for musical theatre, and one of the others is a bookwriter, and they are collaborators! As time has passed since their promising start in high school, Frank has become jaded and more interested in commercial success than artistic dignity. The show traces these friendships from the present to the past, traveling back in time to do so. Written to be performed by a cast of mostly high school students. Tickets are $15, Rows A-F and $10, Rows G-P. More info here: http://bit.ly/crgh1b Save $5 on tickets by buying online at MyTicketOffice.com.

CPC Music Ministry Blog

I am very pleased to announce that we are launching an official CPC Music Ministry Blog.

The main focus of this blog will be to educate on liturgy and theological aesthetics as they relate to our work at CPC, as well as establish an online presence for some of our songwriters' and composers' original works.  Specifically, I hope to discuss the liturgical choices that David O'Dowd and I make, week by week, so that anyone in the congregation interested in learning about the structure behind each upcoming worship service can come in on Sunday morning with better "ears to hear."

The address of this blog is: http://cpcmm.cpctulsa.com

We are still in development, but I hope to be updating it this week as we put together this coming Sunday's worship service.  So follow us!

Together in Christ,
Karl M. Johnson
Director of Music & Arts Ministries

The Soverign Stitchers

The Sovereign Stitchers is a needlework ministry, dedicated to showing Christ's love to each other by making various items to give to CPC members in need. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month from 9:00AM to noon. Please bring your own supplies and patterns. For more information, or if you would like to learn to knit or crochet, call Debbie Eagle. Begins July 14.

Women's Book Club "Lit and Latte"

Book Club

The book club meets on the second Sunday of each month (unless that date conflicts with a holiday).

At the beginning of each "book year" the members nominate books that they would like to read from different book categories. We choose two books from History; two Classics; one Humor; two Christian; one Mystery; two Fiction; and two Biography. We vote for our choices at the first meeting. Then, we read one book each month and meet for coffee and conversation.

Take a fabulous group of women. Add a really good book. Mix in stimulating conversation.

The result: Lit and Latte, CPC women’s monthly book club!

Feb. -- Scratch Beginnings by W. Shepard
Mar. -- Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith
Apr. -- The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
May -- Lemontree by Sandy Tolan

For more information, contact Lynn Miller.

We have an open meeting, and would love for anyone who wants to attend to please do so.
